About Weymouth Specific Chiropractic

Dr. David Burgdorf has been practicing chiropractic since 1990 and has been serving patients in Weymouth and Braintree since 1992. “When I came to this town I didn’t know anyone. But I spent my first many months meeting people and shaking hands,” Dr. Burgdorf says “I believe building relationships is critical.”

Our Practice Philosophy

I would love to see the whole world take excellent care of themselves. I want to see people eat well, sleep well, and think well—to change how they view health and to embrace true health care.”

Dr. Burgdorf believes true health care is preventative. This is why he takes a whole-body approach when diagnosing and treating your pain. He understands, and teaches patients, that the entire body works together. Chiropractic care can help with your pain, and Dr. Burgdorf is highly skilled in addressing conditions, which bring people through his doors.

In addition to chiropractic adjustments, we promote healthy living and the attitude that pain and illness are best treated by keeping them at bay.

Helping the Body & Brain to Communicate Optimally

Dr. Burgdorf is happy to do his part to help keep each patient’s brain connected to the body through the spine system. He likens your brain to a big computer or generator that sends electrical impulses through a large cable called the spinal cord. That spinal cord branches out along wiring (the nerves) out to the entire house (your body). The spine is like a fuse box.

Similar to an electrician, Dr. Burgdorf wants to know the condition of all those switches on your fuse box—all those vertebrae in your spine. Are they worn down, arthritic, misaligned or kinked in a wrong position, similar to a breaker that’s been flipped?

Restoring spinal health is not as simple as flipping the switch back. You have to get to the vertebrae to adapt to a new position through specific adjustments and other pieces of the health and wellness puzzle. These include supportive stretching and exercises, sound nutrition, taking supplements and having a positive mindset and all-around good energy.

The better you take care of your spine and whole body, the chances of improved health are just greater.
